Classix in Art :: Masterclasses
Classix Festival launches the Classix in Art 2024 program and opens registrations for free masterclasses aimed at young musicians from Romania and the Republic of Moldova.
28 sessions for 6 different specializations will be conducted by 8 professional musicians from Denmark, France, Poland, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Romania. They will facilitate the improvement of high school students and college students from music-focused institutions in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Participation in these sessions is free, based on registration, within the available space limits, and based on the evaluation of attached videos, conducted by each masterclass teacher or a specialist in the field.
The sessions will be conducted in English, at Casa Balș (Cuza Vodă Street, No. 29, Iași) and at the “George Enescu” National University of Arts (Costache Negruzzi Street, No. 7-9, Iași).
Selected active participants will receive free admission to the course, as well as *tickets to the concerts performed by the titular artists of the masterclass within the Classix Festival.(*within the limit of available places)
Any associated costs related to transportation, accommodation, and meals are the responsibility of the participant.
Eligible for selection as active participants are students in grades IX-XII and students enrolled in state/private pre-university/vocational university education in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, as well as graduates of relevant institutions with completion of studies not earlier than the academic year 2021/2022.
In the case of minor participants in masterclasses who have a residence outside Iași, they must be accompanied by a legal representative or an adult.
Passive participation in masterclasses will be possible for the general public free of charge, within the available space limits, for each masterclass session.

10:00 – Jan Petryka (Poland) – Canto | 4 Sesions
10:00 – Max Artved (Denmark) – oboe | 4 Sesions
Selected active participants, if needed, will independently manage the need for an accompanist pianist.
Each individual session with the coordinating teacher will last for 45 minutes.
The recorded work for the selection process can be of free choice but should not be older than 2 years and should not exceed 10 minutes in length.
