Classix in Art :: Masterclasses 2026
The Creative Industries Association, organizer of Classix Festival, with the support of the main partner of the 2026 edition, BRD Groupe Société Générale, is launching the Classix in Art 2026 program and masterclass scholarships intended for young musicians from Romania.
66 sessions across 12 different specializations will be delivered by 17 professional musicians from Spain, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, Australia, Denmark, the Netherlands, Israel, Canada, Romania, Colombia, and Austria, who will facilitate the professional development of high school pupils and students from music-focused institutions in Romania and the Republic of Moldova.

Participation in these sessions is free of charge, based on registration, subject to available places and the evaluation of the submitted videos, carried out by each masterclass professor or a field specialist.
The sessions will be held in English at Casa Balș (29 Cuza Vodă St., Iași), the “George Enescu” National University of Arts (7–9 Costache Negruzzi St., Iași), and the “Octav Băncilă” National College of Art Iași (29 Cuza Vodă St., Iași).
Selected active participants will receive free access to the course, as well as tickets to the concerts performed by the masterclass artists during Classix Festival. Any costs related to transportation, accommodation, and subsistence are the responsibility of the participant.
Eligible for selection as active participants are pupils in grades 9–12 and students enrolled in state or private pre-university/university arts education institutions in Romania and the Republic of Moldova, as well as graduates of such institutions who completed their studies no earlier than the 2024/2025 academic year.
In the case of minors participating in the masterclasses who reside outside Iași, they must be accompanied by a legal guardian or an adult.
Passive participation in the masterclasses will be available free of charge to the public, subject to available seats, for each masterclass session.

If a teacher’s places are fully booked, they will select the active participants they will work with. Each individual session with the coordinating professor will last approximately 45 minutes.
Selected active participants will manage, if necessary, their own need for an accompanying pianist.
The recording submitted for the selection process may be of the participant’s choice, but must be no older than 2 years and no longer than 10 minutes.
