Gabriel Bîrjovanu

Gabriel Birjovanu is an accomplished Romanian tenor with a rich career in opera. He completed his education in music at the National University of Arts “George Enescu” in Iași, Romania, specializing in vocal performance. His professional journey began at the Romanian National Opera in Iași, where he performed various main and secondary roles in operas and operettas.

Gabriel’s talent led him to the Norwegian National Opera in Oslo, where he sang in over 1700 opera performances and symphonic concerts under renowned conductors like Antonio Pappano, Zubin Mehta, and Riccardo Muti. His repertoire includes major works by Verdi, Tchaikovsky, Puccini, Wagner, and Mozart. He has also performed leading roles in popular operas like “La Traviata,” “Carmen,” and “La Bohème.”

Since 2023, Gabriel has been working as a freelance opera soloist, continuing to enrich the cultural scene with his performances in various concerts and operas across Romania. His career is marked by a dedication to his art and a passion for bringing classical music to audiences worldwide.
