Ștefan Linu

The young bass Stefan Linu is a graduate of the Iași Conservatory, beginning his career during his student years, in Cristina Simionescu Fântână’s class. Later, he refined his vocal technique with the legendary Grace Bumbry, Alfio Grasso, or Horiana Brănișteanu and became involved in numerous artistic endeavors in Budapest, Rimini, Milan, or Salzburg. 

In recent seasons, Ștefan Linu was invited to the 4 Arts Festival in Câmpina and has appeared in concerts and shows at prestigious venues such as the Van Westerhout Theater in Mola di Bari, the Béla Bartók Memorial House in Budapest, the Neue Akropolis Philosophers’ Center in Salzburg, and the Romanian National Operas in Bucharest and Iași. He is a frequent collaborator of the Luxembourg Philharmonic, simultaneously managing his own projects, such as the “Romanian Music Recital” on January 24th, celebrating the Union of the Principalities. 

Recently, he completed a one-month artistic residency in Oslo, Norway, with the project Lied – Between Intimacy and Entertainment, and had appearances at Gamle Raadhus Scene and the Embassy of Romania to the Kingdom of Norway. 

Since 2012, he has been continuously active as a lyric artist at the Romanian National Opera in Iași.
