Alessandro Stella is an Italian pianist and producer. An original artist with a sophisticated discography, Alessandro Stella has performed in major cities in Italy, Europe, and Latin America, including Argentina, Croatia, Cuba, Denmark, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Morocco, Norway, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom.

He has been a guest at prestigious international festivals, such as the “Martha Argerich Project” and the Klavier-Festival Ruhr. He has performed in some of the world’s most renowned theaters and concert halls, including the Auditorio Stelio Molo (Lugano), Herkulessaal (Munich), Salle Rameau (Lyon), Teatro Coliseo (Buenos Aires), Teatro Comunale (Modena), Teatro dei Rozzi (Siena), Teatro del Libertador (Córdoba), Teatro El Círculo (Rosario), Teatro Mohammed V (Rabat), Teatro Piccinni (Bari), Teatro Romano (Verona), and Zentrum Paul Klee (Bern).

In Italy, he has performed for major concert series and festivals such as Accademia Chigiana, Accademia Filarmonica Romana, Amici della Musica di Palermo, Associazione Alessandro Scarlatti, Associazione Musicale Vincenzo Bellini, Camerata Musicale Barese, Istituzione Universitaria dei Concerti (IUC), Unione Musicale, Bari Piano Festival, PianoSofia, Musica Riva Festival, and Trame Sonore.

In 2020, he founded the record label Extended Place, and from 2023, he has been a voting member of the Recording Academy and the Latin Recording Academy.

His numerous recordings, released by Extended Place, Artalinna, Kha, Stradivarius, and Warner Classics, have garnered unanimous praise and recognition from international critics, including awards such as Melómano de oro, 5 Diapason, 5 Stelle di Classica, 5 Stelle di Musica, Gramophone Editor’s Choice, and the Echo Klassik Award.

His concerts and recordings have been broadcast by leading radio stations such as BBC, Bayerischer Rundfunk, ORT, RSI, Radio France, RAI, RTBF, RTP, RTVE, and WDR.

Renowned contemporary composers such as Carlo Boccadoro, Nicola Campogrande, Giya Kancheli, and Valentin Silvestrov have written, arranged, or dedicated significant works to him, many of which he has premiered and recorded.

In addition to his solo career, Alessandro Stella is intensely involved in chamber music, collaborating regularly with artists such as Gemma Bertagnolli, Giovanni Gnocchi, Marcos Madrigal, Tai Murray, Pietro Roffi, Nurit Stark, and Nino Surguladze. He is also a founding member of the piano trio The Pianos Trio with Giorgia Tomassi and Carlo Maria Griguoli.

Alessandro Stella studied under Raffaella d’Esposito, Franco Scala, and Marco Di Bari, and further honed his craft with Bruno Canino, Maria João Pires, Maurizio Pollini, Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Alexis Weissenberg, and Christian Zacharias.
