Mezzo-soprano Claudia Caia graduated from the Master’s program at the National University of Music in Bucharest – Faculty of Musical Interpretation. She performs concert activities both in Romania, on the stages of major institutions such as Sala Radio, the National Opera of Bucharest, the George Enescu Philharmonic, Sala Palatului, the Brașov Opera, and the Philharmonics of Pitești, Sibiu, Brașov, etc., and abroad, taking part in tours in Italy, Germany, France, Poland, Greece, and the Republic of Moldova, where she has collaborated with conductors such as David Crescenzi, Ludovic Bacs, Vlad Conta, Daniel Jinga, Ethan Schmeisser, Miquel Ortega, Stephen Barlow, Matteo Mazzoni, Toufic Maatouk, Cătălin Ionescu Arbore, Cristian Sandu, and Dumitru Cîrciumaru.
Her vocal-symphonic repertoire includes works by Giuseppe Verdi (Requiem), Antonio Vivaldi (Gloria), Johann Sebastian Bach (Magnificat), and Georg Friedrich Handel (Messiah), as well as 20th and contemporary operas such as Oedipe by George Enescu, Akhnaten by Philip Glass, Vanitas by Salvatore Sciarrino, Doamna cu cățelul by Livia Teodorescu Ciocănea, and works by composers Anatol Vieru and Miquel Ortega.
She has participated in masterclasses with Daniela Dessi, Ira Siff, David Lomeli, Petra Lang, David Crescenzi, Daniel Magdal, Vasile Martinoiu, Liliana Matei-Ciucă, Lucy Arner, Liora Maurer, Sharon Mohar, Adrian Baianu, and Peter Maus.
