Andreea Carmen Marin is a soprano whose artistic journey is defined by elegance, discipline and a profound dedication to the art of singing. She graduated from the National University of Music in Bucharest, where she studied with distinguished figures of the lyric stage, including Eleonora Enăchescu and Iulia Isaev, developing her craft within a rigorous and inspiring artistic environment.
Her exploratory spirit became evident during her studies, when she was awarded an Erasmus scholarship at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg. There, under the guidance of Professor Susana Kelling, she completed her master’s degree, broadening her interpretative vision and opening her path towards the European stage. She was later admitted to the prestigious École Normale de Musique de Paris, where, working with Daniel Ottevaere, she refined her stylistic sensitivity and expressive depth, embracing the elegance and nuance that characterise her performances today.
She is currently pursuing doctoral studies at the Doctoral School of the National University of Music in Bucharest, under the supervision of Professor Olguța Carmen Lupu, deepening the connection between musicological research and performance practice.
Her career has been recognised through numerous distinctions, including the Grand Prize at the National Vocal Performance Competition in Oradea, the Special Prize at the “Mariana Nicolesco” National Lied Competition, First Prize at the “Emil Pinghireac” Opera and Lied Competition, and the Special Prize at the “Susana Szőrenyi” International Duo Competition. These awards highlight the versatility and refinement of a vibrant voice capable of combining dramatic intensity with lyrical subtlety.
Andreea Carmen Marin has collaborated with prestigious festivals such as the George Enescu International Festival, the Eurochestries International Festival, and the Immling Festival, and has given recitals in Germany, France, Switzerland and Romania, captivating audiences through sincerity of expression and a compelling stage presence.
Last year marked two significant milestones in her artistic development: an appearance on the stage of the opera in Glendenburg, Scotland, and her debut at the National Opera of Constanța in the role of Frasquita in Carmen by Georges Bizet, a role she brings to life with luminous energy, natural elegance and distinctive expressive strength.
