Johanna Gossner (clarinet) and Damian Keller (accordion) form Duo Minerva, an ensemble founded in 2016 that moves effortlessly across the boundaries between classical music and crossover. Originally from Tyrol and Vorarlberg, the two artists unite their artistic visions in a refined, contemporary and innovative musical dialogue.

From the outset, the duo has been committed to exploring the full expressive potential of their instruments, shaping a distinctive sound world situated at the crossroads of classical music, world music, jazz and avant-garde. Their meticulously crafted arrangements, infused with subtle wit, offer established masterpieces renewed vitality and an unexpected artistic perspective.

In 2017, Duo Minerva won the 16th Fidelio Chamber Music Competition of the City of Vienna, along with a scholarship for the promotion of young artists. This distinction was followed by international competition successes across Europe and Asia and invitations to perform at prestigious festivals, including the Salzburg Festival and the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival.

Since 2023, the ensemble has been part of the support programme of Club Klassik – Vienna Music Society, dedicated to fostering promising young artists based in Austria. In 2024, Duo Minerva was selected for the New Austrian Sound of Music programme, representing Austria internationally as cultural ambassadors.
