Frank Dupree is a pianist and conductor, and a recipient of the International Classical Music Award and Opus Klassik, widely regarded as one of the most versatile artists of his generation. Celebrated for his compelling energy and genre-crossing creativity, he appears internationally as a soloist, conductor and as the leader of the Frank Dupree Trio, moving with equal ease between classical and jazz repertoire.

His recordings of the piano concertos by Nikolai Kapustin have received widespread international acclaim, with The New York Times describing them as “among the most entertaining and replayable recordings of the year”. Since 2023, Frank Dupree has been Artistic Partner of the Württemberg Chamber Orchestra Heilbronn, regularly appearing as both conductor and soloist. Highlights of the 2024–2025 season include his debuts with the London Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Sir Antonio Pappano, the hr-Sinfonieorchester under Patrick Hahn, and the Gothenburg Symphony led by Santtu-Matias Rouvali.

Throughout his career, Frank Dupree has collaborated with leading ensembles such as the Philharmonia Orchestra, NDR Radiophilharmonie, Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg, Bern Symphony Orchestra and the Radio Symphony Orchestra Berlin. His performances have taken place at renowned venues and festivals including Verbier, Lucerne, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Philharmonie de Paris and Wigmore Hall.

His collaborations with artists such as Simon Höfele, Kian Soltani, Vivi Vassileva and Timothy Ridout further reflect his dedication to innovative chamber music programming.

Born in 1991 in Rastatt, Frank Dupree studied piano with Sontraud Speidel and conducting with Péter Eötvös and Hans Zender at the University of Music in Karlsruhe, gaining early recognition through winning the Hans von Bülow and Deutscher Musikwettbewerb competitions.
