Alexandru Timilie (România)

Alexandru studied the violin at the George Apostu National College of Art in Bacău, and later completed his higher studies and master’s degree at the George Enescu National University of Arts in Iași at the classes of professors Anton Diaconu and Maria Toronciuc.
Since his university days, he has been invited as a member of various youth orchestras in Italy and became a permanent collaborator of the Romanian National Opera of Iași, before becoming a permanent member of the Mihail Jora Philharmonic in Bacău.
Between 2009-2011 he became a collaborator of the Teatro Regio in Parma. Since 2012, he has been head of the 2nd violin part of the Bacău Philharmonic, an ensemble with which he toured in Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, Portugal, and China.
During all this time, he participated in various masterclasses in Germany with several chamber formations under the careful guidance of maestro Konrad von Abel, and in 2016 he founded the Avantgarde ensemble.
