The chamber orchestra of the “George Enescu” National University of Arts in Iași, entitled “Sonos Alumni” and made up of students and graduates of the Iași Conservatory, debuted in 2013 on the stage of the “Eduard Caudella” Hall, during the British Council Anniversary Concert – 75 years in Romania / Benjamin Britten – 100 years, having as founder and coordinator of the orchestra Mrs. prof. univ. Dr. Elena Ovănescu.

The conductor of the orchestra since the founding of the orchestra and until today, university lecturer Dr. Tudor Bogdan Bolnavu.

Subsequently, the chamber ensemble was invited to both Romanian and Moldovan seasons of several Philharmonics, as well as to international festivals in Bulgaria and Italy, approaching a repertoire that promotes the oeuvres of composers from Iași and contemporary music in general.
