Tim Crawford
Concerts:
Being under the tutelage of Rainer Schmidt, Tim is a British violinist on a strong rise on the international chamber scene. After studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with Alexander Janiczek, he took advantage of the periods of isolation to spend more time in Switzerland, graduating an Erganzungsstudium soloist diploma at the Musik Akademie Basel.
He performs regularly with his string trio, The Teyber Trio, a musical partnership with violinist Timothy Ridout and cellist Tim Posner, with whom he has played with since the age of 15.
Another ensemble founded by Tim, the Valo Quartet, together with extraordinary musicians Maria Wloszczowska, Lilli Maijala and Amy Norrington, is now represented by James Brown Management.
His experience is already extensive in the field of chamber music, constantly studying with Steven Isserlis and Thomas Adés, as well as recording the quartets of Leos Janacek.
He was also invited to perform concerts with the Nash Ensemble, the resident chamber ensemble of London’s Wigmore Hall, and was the leader of the Collegium ensemble, founded by Lawrence Power in 2019.
Tim plays a gorgeous 1770 Ferdinand Gagliano violin.
