Classix in Art and Classix in community
Volunteer registrations have begun and will continue until February 4, 2024, the form can be filled online.
„The importance of volunteers at any festival is vital — not only in terms of the huge amount of work that this type of activity entails, but especially in terms of the opportunity young people can gain as work experience and new skills. It’s a wonderful experience for them, and the sense they get of knowing the importance of their contribution gives them confidence in the future to enter the job market with a track record they can rely on. Every year we had record entries, hundreds of volunteers from which we had to choose between 70 and 150, and their interest convinces us that the new generations want to get involved in the projects they resonate with — they are not so passive to opportunities like their predecessors. Of course, the number of festivals, NGOs, activities that require their participation has multiplied enormously in recent years, thus giving everyone the opportunity to find the niche in which they want to get involved in order to fulfil their need to contribute to the community, to the causes in which they believe, in supporting a change or in gathering the necessary experience for insertion in the labour market. The profile of the Classix volunteer primarily aims at curiosity and seriousness, openness to new things, sociability, willingness to work in a team, a big smile and lots and lots of energy.”, mentioned Anca Floroiu, the festival’s Communication Manager.
Classix Festival’s contribution to the development of the community is also materialised through the Classix in Art project. Within this component, masterclasses are organised annually for young artists and grants for creations in various fields are offered. The scholarship program started in 2021 with 3 scholarships totaling 3,000 euros, in 2022 5 scholarships totaling 5,000 euros were awarded, and in 2023 7 scholarships totaling 7,000 euros were awarded .
