Classix Festival 2026 opens a new contemporary classical adventure

The seventh edition of Classix Festival begins in Iași under the theme Art & Mind. This year’s edition proposes a journey that explores the relationship between art and thought, inviting the audience to an experience built with rigor, clarity, and openness, where music becomes a space for reflection, dialogue, and connection.

In the festival, over 50 works signed by more than 40 composers will be heard, performed by over 60 international artists from 17 countries. The edition’s program includes 9 official concerts, 66 masterclass sessions, 3 panels, 2 exhibitions with openings, 1 dialogue, an evening of short films, a guided tour, a pop-up concert, a surprise flash mob, and 3 creative grants, which will be presented in a special showcase dedicated within the festival. These grants support the artistic development of the new generation and consolidate Classix’s mission to create real contexts for the affirmation of emerging artists. The entire program configures a broad platform for the meeting between music, visual arts, critical reflection, and community.

Organized by the Association of Creative Industries and Showberry, the festival brings together events held in emblematic spaces of the city of Iași, such as the Roman Catholic Cathedral “Saint Virgin Mary, Queen”, the Culture Palace, the “Mihai Eminescu” Central University Library, the “Vasile Alecsandri” National Theater, MINA Museum Iași, and the Unirii Hall.
