Classix in Art Regulation

1. Organiser / main partner description

The Creative Industries Association (AIC), co-organizer of the Classix Festival, is an organization with cultural, social, educational and humanitarian goals, dedicated to the revitalization of local communities through involvement in projects that promote a proactive and participatory spirit. AIC’s mission is to support and encourage creativity in the local and national community.

The sixth edition of Classix Festival enjoys the support of a new main partner, BRD Groupe Société Générale, which invests in the next generation of creators, in art and music, supporting hundreds of events and programs every year. It is the only bank that has a cultural foundation – Fundația9, its own cultural center – Rezidența9 and the cultural magazine Scena9, one of the most relevant journalism publications in Romania today.

2. Context

In a context of continuous changes, art accompanies us in evolution, and Classix in Art 2025 aims to reveal the creative progress and emotional courage of artists. This call for projects encourages the exploration of moments of personal (re)discovery, offering artists the opportunity to transform their revelations into works that will enrich local cultural life and bring new perspectives to the community.

The approach of this call for projects comes as a form of support and encouragement of artistic practice, reminding us that art and creativity can express what sometimes words cannot.

3. Submission conditions

The contest is conducted on the basis of these Regulations, which are mandatory for all participants. The Organizer reserves the right to modify the Regulations, and the modifications will be publicly communicated through the same channels used for the initial announcement.

4. Theme

The theme of this call is “revelation.” We want to encourage artists to explore those moments of personal (re)discovery that have inspired them and bring to light new perspectives and innovative ideas. Every independent artist or student has experienced at least one significant revelation in recent years – whether it was a moment of clarity, a profound discovery, or an unexpected inspiration. These experiences are essential, and they can become an invaluable source of inspiration for their future creations.

The goal of this scholarship is to give artists the opportunity to capitalize on these moments of revelation, transforming them into works of art that reflect the uniqueness of their perspective. We want each of these creators to be able to share the results of their revelations with a world that needs new visions and the unique creative force of each of them.

At the end of the fellowship, each artist will present a significant project, created specifically for their area of interest, but also for the community. We seek initiatives that not only enrich and strengthen individual artistic practice, but have the potential to revitalize cultural life, generating real and lasting impact.

We do not impose strict technical requirements on the format or final form of projects. Evaluation will also be based on cost feasibility, but we are open to innovative ideas and approaches that deeply reflect each artist’s vision.
