Classix in Art Scholarships 2025

The Creative Industries Association, organiser of the Classix Festival, with the support of the main partner of the 2025 edition, BRD Groupe Société Générale, launches the Classix in Art artistic creation scholarship program in the fields of: Visual Arts, Music and Performing Arts.

The call is in its fourth edition, and so far 15 projects have benefited from funding during the period 2021 – 2023.

Visual arts (painting, sculpture, photography, installations, ceramics, collage, textile art, architecture and design) - 1 scholarship;

Music (performance, composition) - 1 scholarship;

Performing arts (choreography, performance, dramaturgy) - 1 scholarship.

3 scholarships x 1000 eur gross will be awarded, and young artists, freelancers, independent artists, students, people without a stable income and residents in Romania can apply for the call.

The theme of this call is: “revelation”. At the end of the two months of creative scholarship, the selected artists will present a project relevant to their field, with a potential impact on the community and on the revitalization of cultural life.

The scholarship holders selected to carry out the projects will benefit from a gross honorarium of 1000 euros, from which the income tax will be deducted according to the legislation in force. The payment will be made in two installments: the first installment will be available at the signing of the contract, and the second will be paid upon completion of the project, together with the delivery of the materials, within a maximum of 30 days. Completed projects will be presented in February 2025. Details on how to calculate the scholarship and payments are available in the call regulations. The works will benefit from a dedicated promotion, both online, on the festival’s pages, and in the events organised by the Creative Industries Association.
