The Singing Garden Symphony

The Singing Garden Symphony is an interdisciplinary interactive installation that investigates the relationship between humans and nature through sound and technology. The project transforms a natural space into a collective musical instrument, in which human presence becomes the catalyst for triggering an ever-evolving sound composition.

The installation is created by artists Andrei Cozlac, Radu Marțin, and Cătălin Marinescu, who propose an artistic approach situated at the intersection of sound art, technology, and sensory exploration. Their complementary practices, ranging from sound design and generative composition to technological integration and visual-spatial design, converge into an immersive experience that brings the body, space, and natural environment into dialogue.

The project uses motion, proximity, and touch sensors integrated into vegetation and natural elements to capture visitors’ interactions with the surrounding environment. These interactions are translated in real time into a generative soundscape composed of organic sounds, ambient textures, and acoustic processing, creating an experience that reflects the subtle interdependence between human action and nature’s response.

The Singing Garden Symphony proposes a sensitive and conscious reconnection with nature through an innovative artistic format that combines sound art and new technologies. The installation functions as a platform for exploration and collective participation, highlighting the idea that nature is not a passive backdrop, but an active partner in shaping meaning and contemporary aesthetics.
