Victor Lim

Concert: Romantic Concert

Following his first public appearance in the televised BBC Young Musician of the Year in 2012, South Korean-British pianist Victor Lim has performed across Europe and in Asia.

During the 2019-2020 season, Victor will perform as a soloist in Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 5 ‘Emperor’ in a joint concert between Barratt Due Institute of Music and the Norwegian Academy of Music, and Prokofiev Piano Concerto No.3 with Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra in Vilnius.

After formative training with John Byrne and Richard Ormrod at Wells Cathedral School, Victor studied with Graham Scott, Jeremy Young, and Murray McLachlan at Royal Northern College of Music than with Michael Dussek at Royal Academy of Music in London.

Victor is currently under the tutelage of Kathryn Stott at NMH where he is pursuing the selective Artist Diploma programme.

Victor was the co-ordinator of the classical music course at the Millfield Summer School for several years. He has been an Associate Artist and teacher at the International Young Musicians Academy in the UK since 2018 and is a Leverhulme Teaching Fellow of Pro Corda.
