Daniel Paicu

Daniel Paicu is an university lecturer at the George Enescu National University of Arts in Iași. He studied clarinet under the guidance of Doru Albu both during his high school years in Suceava and for his undergraduate and graduate years.

The young clarinetist has at his 33 years of age a vast concert experience, ranging from concerts with Moldova State Philharmonic of Iași to appearances in Vienna, Pescara, Freiburg, and Nagoya in Japan. 

He is a laureate at Rovere d’Oro and Paolo Barrasso international competitions.

Daniel is also a member of the Orpheus clarinet quartet, an ensemble with which he had participated in several festivals in Germany and Italy. 

He also collaborated for a month with the San Marco chamber orchestra having concerts in Toyota Hall of Japan. 

Regarding recordings, he managed to record two CDs with contemporary works by composers from Iași.
