
Doru Costăchescu
Doru Costăchescu was born in Galați, in 1977. He is a graduate of the Octav Băncilă National College of Art in Iași and of the George Enescu National University of Arts, in the viola class of prof. Gaspar Markos.
Since 2000 he has been a member of the Moldova State Philharmonic Orchestra, and since 2016 he has been the section leader (viola) within the Symphony Orchestra of the same institution.
At the same time, Doru Costăchescu has been active since 2001, as a collaborator in the I Sedici orchestra as first violist, having concerts in Germany, France, Switzerland and the Czech Republic.
He actively participated in the masterclass with Dimitri Mattu from Italy and Wolfgang Kloss from Austria.
In 2019 he was awarded the title of doctor in music by the George Enescu National University of Arts in Iași, under the guidance of prof. Constantin Stanciu, member of the Voces Quartet.
