Shana Moron-Caravel

French Mezzo-Soprano, Shana Moron-Caravel, is currently enrolled in the postgraduate vocal programme at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, being mentored by Marcus Van Der Akker. 

She started her studies in Paris Conservatoire whilst studying History of Art at Panthéon Sorbonne. She completed her Undergraduate Degree with first class honours at Trinity Laban Conservatoire in London, where she studied with Sophie Grimmer and Andrew Matthews-Owen. 

She performed regularly in recitals and productions under the care of Nicky Spence and is a fond admirer of contemporary works, being a protagonist at events celebrating British Composer Jonathan Dove. 

Following her UK Debut as Gina in the Elixir of Love by Donizetti, played at the King’s Head theatre in September 2019, Shana won the English Song Prize Competition in January 2020 adjudicated by John Constable. 

Recently she has just been granted a place in the Guildhall Opera Company, starting in September 2022.
