Recognized as one of the most important Romanian pianists of his generation, Toma Popovici is currently an associate professor at the National University of Music in Bucharest.

A student of pianist Dana Borșan, Toma Popovici is a graduate and doctor of the National University of Music in Bucharest and a graduate of Boston University.

Winner of the international competitions “Dinu Lipatti”, Bucharest (1997), “Waki”, Japan (1996), as well as recipient of the award for solo activity awarded by the Union of Music Critics “Mihail Jora” (1997), Toma Popovici supports a rich activity concert, represented by the presence at the George Enescu International Festival, Rockport Chamber Music Festival, Murten Classics Festival, as well as by concerts with Boston Pops Orchestra, Radio Orchestras and the main philharmonics in Romania. In parallel with the solo presence, Toma Popovici also supports an important pedagogical activity, with masterclasses in Romania and abroad.
