Cristina Uruc, interim manager of Artexim – the organizer of the George Enescu International Festival and Competition, studied composition in Bucharest, a field in which she also holds a doctorate.

Cristina Uruc started her career in the world of organizing concerts, cultural events and shows in 2007 at ARTEXIM, accumulating over six years of experience in all stages of production and organization of one of the biggest classical music festivals in the world. He was general project manager of the International New Music Week Festival, as well as tour manager of the famous early music ensembles Il Giardino Armonico and Coro e Orchestra Ghislieri. From April 2021, Cristina Uruc was artistic consultant of the Sibiu State Philharmonic. He studied composition at the National University of Music in Bucharest under the guidance of the composer Livia Teodorescu-Ciocănea (bachelor and master), and in 2019 he was awarded the title of “Doctor of Music” within the same institution, under the coordination of the composer Dan Dediu.
