Klara Bernat was born in Budapest and grew up in Budapest and Los Angeles. She studied music in education, art history and English, in Budapest and Berlin, and worked in several chamber music festivals, her latest position being administrative director of the famed Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival (founded by Gidon Kremer), before, in late 2017, she joined Ensemble MidtVest as its director.
