The revealing echoes of Classix Festival 2025

Iași, 5th of March 2025
The sixth edition of Classix Festival ended on March 2, 2025, after eight days of concerts and events held in Iași, between February 23 and March 2.
This year’s edition included 9 concerts, 3 exhibitions, 3 openings, 4 discussion panels, a lecture, a screening of short animated films, a book launch, a press conference, a showcase dedicated to the three Classix in Art fellows and 40 masterclass sessions held by internationally renowned artists, for a total of 73 active and passive participants.
The festival took place in 11 emblematic locations of the city of Iași, bringing classical music and visual arts to representative cultural and historical spaces, being architecturally enhanced with the help of new media and light design inserts.
Over 200 volunteers and professionals from the creative industries in Romania were involved in organizing the festival, and over 100 guest artists from 14 countries performed on the Classix stage. Over 8,000 people attended Classix events throughout the entire period, which has been joined by 115,000 online viewers so far. Live broadcasts can still be watched online on the Classix Festival Facebook page until the end of March 2025.
Patricia Brohanschi, general manager and co-founder of the Classix festival, says: “Classix Festival 2025 was, without a doubt, the most intense and lively so far. The sold-out halls every night and the energy of the audience showed us that what we do really has an impact, and music has a special power to bring us together. For me, this edition was more than a cultural event, it was about soul, community and overcoming one’s own limits. I was moved to see how Classix became a space where arts meet, ideas come to life, and people connect authentically. From concerts and exhibitions, to educational activities and scholarships, our festival demonstrated once again that anything is possible when there is desire and passion. I am deeply grateful for the exemplary involvement of everyone who was with us and I thank them for their vote of confidence – from collaborators and partners, to colleagues, volunteers, artists and spectators. Classix looked and felt better than ever, and without their dedication, this contemporary classic adventure would not have been possible.”
